Anne Phung Nguyen

Anne Phung Nguyen. I am an American Vietnamese entrepreneur living in Orange County in California. With my wonderful partner JP and the happy-go lucky father Henry. Most people are familiar with me from my Instagram @annephung, where I share my daily life, the highs, the lows and all in between. My parents brought me to America in the year 1990, at which point I was only one and a half years old. I wouldn't be sharing my story with you today had my parents not worked hard and make sacrifices. With the opportunity to have an improved life I was determined to try the best I could to please them and determined to achieve my goals. There was a specific plan for me in my life that was to go to college graduate land a corporate job, marry, purchase the house, and then have kids. My plan for success was to go to college to graduate, then get an executive job. After that, I'd marry then buy a house, and then have children. However, life was not so sure. The job I held in 2013 was a job I hated. Money and status were not what I needed to feel happy. I thought I wasted my time to make a living. As I began to move to a new path in life I began to discover that I was a personal trainer and my passion. I am a lover of exercise and enjoy working around people and helping them. This year I will celebrate my 7th Anniversary. In 2014, I launched my own company. It is rare to find Asian women in the industry. My goal in this industry is to create a more durable and healthy life style that is in line with the desires of my clients. Additionally, I want to encourage individuals to follow their goals and achieve anything and everything they want to achieve in their lives. My career took off as I experienced the greatest success in my entire life. However, my mother passed away at the same time that my career took off. After battling for eight years with Scleroderma, she is now resting in Heaven. I will never forget her, and continue to remember her in my mind as well as my heart. There is a lot we can learn from the world, even if we might not be able to spot it in the moment. My loss has impacted my life in many different ways. It is my belief that her passing gave me the opportunity to begin the next chapter. She passed away on Tet/Lunar New Year Day it was the perfect time to start the next chapter of her life. It was also a chance I was given a second chance to live the most happy, joyful and meaningful life. In my 30s I feel a sense of living and being alive. I'm not feeling as if I'm just a mere existence anymore. The purpose of the story I am sharing is to show you that you're not alone. I would like you to believe that love is real and that therapy is regular. Health is your greatest asset. I wish you to live your life to its fullest and that you die without regrets as death is the sole thing that is promised to all of us during our lives.
