Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age fourteen. Aspen Ladd started training in BJJ, kickboxing, boxing, and wrestling prior to her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd built on this victory and began a 3 fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents inside the first round in all the fights. She then went back to WCFC to beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen won against Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 before taking on Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia defeated Aspen to beat her a unanimous decision, putting an ominous mark on her record in her amateur. Ladd rebounded from her loss and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to improve her record up to 8-1. Aspen made her pro debut in the year 2015, when she signed as a player with Invicta FC. Invicta 11, she was able to slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Invicta 16, she was able to rise into the Bantamweight division after winning the fight against Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen employed her skills in wrestling to take out McGill via TKO in the third-round (elbows and punches). Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy with the catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd was not able to weigh in. Aspen still dominated Hoy to finish her in second round with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she took her victory in the final bout of the promotion via a unanimous vote. Her UFC debut took place at UFC Fight Night 118 when she faced Lina Lansberg. She defeated Lina with a pound and grind to her to the ground, gaining the TKO in the second round. Ladd remained in the lead and picked up another victory over Tonya Avinger at UFC 229 with her next bout. Ladd won the fight in the first round and was awarded the performance of the Night bonus. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent for a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's first big fight. Ladd, who won by a unanimous decision following an intense back and forth battle with the fighters, got an award of Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd's winning streak in just 16 seconds. Then she bounced back and defeated Yana Kunitskaya during the third round at UFC at ESPN 7. Her most recent bout for the UFC she was a part of Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a replacement fight. The fight was unanimously decided in her favor.
