Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams born August 20, 1974 in Aviano Italy American actress. She is renowned for her critically-acclaimed portrayals of charming, innocent people. Adams was the youngest of seven children who lived as a child in Colorado's Castle Rock. She was born while her father was employed by the U.S. Military in Italy. In the mid-1990s she began acting and dancing professionally with Colorado's Dinner Theatre and the Country Dinner Playhouse in Colorado. Following her move to Minnesota where she was a part of an undocumentary-style film called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998) about beauty pageants. After making her screen debut as a charming but snarky contestant, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Her husband Tony Curtis was her partner from June 1950 until September 1992. She had two children, Kelly Curtis as well as Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh, discovered by actor Norma Shearer Leigh signed a deal with MGM to launch her film career actor in the latter half of the 1940s. Over the course of the 1960s, Leigh appeared in a variety of films, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and Living It Up.
